Welcome to My Yoga!

MyYoga is  located inside of the Snap Fitness facility in Chapel Hill.  We offer classes 7 days a week. 

We offer several different styles of hot yoga.  The Barkan method of hot yoga which incorporates a series of standing poses, floor poses, two breathing exercises and added vinyasa flow poses to keep different muscles moving and challenged, power yoga which focuses on building muscular strength and breath awareness to help deepen your practice, deep stretch classes that are designed to help open and release tight muscles and stiff joints, and a beginner friendly basic hot yoga class that offers a slower pace and a bit more instruction.  All classes are practiced in a heated room, are 75-90 minutes long, and are suitable for all levels from first timers to more advanced practitioners. All classes will keep you physically challenged, and mentally relaxed at the same time.

Madeline Strauss- owner, has practiced Bikram yoga for eight years in NY before relocating to North Carolina in 2006.  She has trained under Jimmy Barkan in Ft. Lauderdale to receive her 200 hour hot yoga teacher certification. For more information about the Barkan method, go to www.barkanmethod.com.  The staff at My Yoga are all wonderfully diverse, warm and welcoming.  We are all passionate about hot yoga and are thrilled to be able to share the many benefits the practice has to offer.

We also offer private and group private classes, please inquire for pricing.  Gift certificates are available for purchase by phone or at the studio.

We offer college and high school students 25% discounts on classes (please bring student ID)  If you are unemployed or need financial assistance paying for classes, please email us and let us know.  We offer discounts, work-study opportunities, and bartering. We understand that in these tough economic times yoga is needed more than ever!
